Yoga and Meditation During Pregnancy
Prenatal yoga poses, breathing techniques, and mental relaxation.

Prenatal yoga is one of the most beloved exercises that can be safely done throughout pregnancy. Research shows that regular prenatal yoga can positively contribute to the birth process and help reduce stress hormones.
Safe poses include cat-cow pose (for back flexibility), chair pose (leg strength), butterfly pose (hip opener), and side triangle pose (balance and strength). It's best to avoid deep twists, face-down poses, lying on your back after week 20, and poses that create abdominal pressure.
Meditation (mindfulness) during pregnancy can help ease birth anxiety and increase body awareness. Sitting quietly for 10-15 minutes a day, watching your breath, or doing a body scan is a great starting point.
Breathing techniques will be a great ally during birth. "4-7-8 breathing" (inhale 4 seconds, hold 7 seconds, exhale 8 seconds) can help with relaxation. The "slow blow" technique used during birth can support managing contraction pain. Practicing now can strengthen you.
