Safe sleep (AAP)
Always place your baby on their back to sleep. Use a firm, flat mattress with a fitted sheet; no pillows, blankets, toys or bumpers in the crib. For the first 6 months your baby should sleep in their own bed in your room. Never sleep together on a sofa or armchair; keep the room smoke-free and avoid overheating.
The schedule is based on general sleep guidelines and your own logs; it is not a diagnostic tool. If you're worried about sleep or feeding, talk to your pediatrician.
