Superfoods During Pregnancy
Avocado, quinoa, chia seeds, and more — the most nutritious foods.

Some foods stand out from others in terms of nutrient density and can be especially valuable during pregnancy. These "superfoods" don't work miracles on their own, but they can give your balanced diet a strong foundation.
Avocado: Rich in healthy fats, folate, potassium, fiber, and vitamin E. Can support your baby's brain development. Great on toast, in salads, or in smoothies. Chia seeds: Rich in omega-3, calcium, fiber, and protein. Can be consumed in yogurt, smoothies, or as pudding and has a very versatile range of uses.
Other superfoods: Eggs (choline — valuable for brain development), salmon (DHA + protein), spinach (folate + iron), dried legumes (protein + fiber + iron), yogurt (calcium + probiotics), red meat (iron + B12), sweet potato (vitamin A + fiber), pomegranate (antioxidants), and pumpkin seeds (zinc + magnesium) can all be wonderful additions to your menu.
